Moriarty has gone 8-2 against Espanola Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pintos will look to defend their home court against the Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Moriarty has three straight victories, Espanola Valley has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Moriarty will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Pojoaque Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Pintos blew past the Elks/Elkettes 3-0 on Thursday. The Pintos not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5th (when they won 3-0).

While Moriarty won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Espanola Valley came up short against Taos on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Espanola Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-18.

Espanola Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Moriarty, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Everything went Moriarty's way against Espanola Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Moriarty made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Pintos repeat their success, or do the Sundevils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
