Football Game Preview: Potosi vs. Perryville

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Potosi will square off against Perryville at 7:00 PM on Friday. Potosi are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.

Potosi might have drawn first blood against DeSoto last Friday, but it was DeSoto who got the last laugh. Potosi were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 3-7 to DeSoto. This makes it the second loss in a row for Potosi.

Meanwhile, Perryville have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put a hurting on Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law to the tune of 48-0. That looming 48-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Perryville yet.

Perryville's victory lifted them to 4-5 while Potosi's defeat dropped them down to 4-5. We'll see if Perryville's success rolls on or if Potosi are able to steal their positive momentum.
