Cincinnati Country Day had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Nighthawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Nate Paumier put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Paumier was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Elijah Guttman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Levi Guttman was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
