Thales Academy Apex waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion as they made off with a 48-27 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-20 on January 7th.

Anna Maass was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points and five boards. Kate Sproul was another key player, scoring nine points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Allie McIntosh, who posted seven points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Belle Heinrich, who earned ten points.

Thales Academy Apex's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Thales Academy Apex will head out on the road to square off against Neuse Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they will square off against Friendship Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
