Volleyball Recap: Loretto Takes a Loss

Loretto was the 3-0 winner over Harpeth when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Haylee Bennett paced Loretto's offense, picking up eight kills. Bennett got some help from Ella Potts and her ten assists. Potts also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Shanna Fisher, racking up two apiece.

Loretto has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Harpeth, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Loretto has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Fairview on the 6th. As for Harpeth, they are taking a road trip to face off against LEAD Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
