Basketball Recap: Kaplan Comes Up Short

Kaplan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 68-20 loss at the hands of the Acadiana Rams. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Rams are ranked 53rd).

Kaplan's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Acadiana, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kaplan will face off against Erath at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Acadiana, they will be playing at home against Westgate at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
