Football Recap: Christian Heritage Piles Up the Points Against Chattooga

Christian Heritage never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Chattooga Indians to the tune of 38-0. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Henry Hill, who rushed for 88 yards and one score. Hill showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Benji Michmerhuizen, who picked up 92 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Christian Heritage's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 7.03 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.06 in the others. As for Chattooga, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Christian Heritage will face off against Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 884 yards in their previous games. As for Chattooga, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 28-21 win against Dade County on the 23rd.
