Basketball Game Preview: Hannibal Pirates vs. Quincy Notre Dame Raiders

Hannibal hasn't had much luck against Quincy Notre Dame recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Pirates will head out to take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

While Hannibal is heading in to the matchup without a victory, things might be looking up considering their last game was the closest they've come to getting one. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Fulton. On the bright side, the 58- point performance marked the Pirates' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Quincy Notre Dame put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-60 W against Macomb.

Hannibal's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Hannibal came out on top in a nail-biter against Quincy Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 58-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
