Baseball Recap: Bennett Takes a Loss

Bennett lost against Brush back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bennett Tigers came up short against the Brush Beetdiggers, falling 11-4.

Bennett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dane Ortiz, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Evan Dear was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Bennett's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brush, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Bennett will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Platte Valley at 11:00 a.m. As for Brush, they are taking a road trip to square off against Alamosa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
