Football Game Preview: Mt. Markham Mustangs vs. Dolgeville Blue Devils

Mt. Markham is 1-9 against Dolgeville since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mustangs will challenge the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Mt. Markham put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 42-20 margin over Beaver River. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mustangs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Dolgeville entered their tilt with Sandy Creek on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed past the Comets to the tune of 47-8. Considering the Blue Devils have won three games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mt. Markham's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Dolgeville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Mt. Markham was dealt a bruising 49-8 loss at the hands of Dolgeville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
