Football Recap: Steilacoom Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Steilacoom suffered their biggest loss since October 11, 2024 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 53-6 loss at the hands of the Franklin Pierce Cardinals. The Sentinels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.

Xander Shaw threw for 133 yards and one touchdown. Jaleo Johnson was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Noah Maxwell rushed for 47 yards.

Franklin Pierce's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Allen led the charge by rushing for 197 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 12.3 yards per carry. Allen's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season. Anthony Lomiga also helped out as he racked up 103 rushing yards.

Steilacoom's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Franklin Pierce, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
