Basketball Game Preview: Steubenville Big Red vs. Catholic Central Crusaders

The Steubenville Big Red and the Catholic Central Crusaders will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Steubenville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Steubenville will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Indian Creek, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Steubenville simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Indian Creek 61-34.

Meanwhile, Catholic Central beat Shadyside 53-44 on Wednesday.

Steubenville pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Catholic Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Steubenville was able to grind out a solid win over Catholic Central in their previous matchup back in February, winning 52-39. Will Steubenville repeat their success, or does Catholic Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
