Basketball Recap: Potomac Comes Up Short

Potomac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Surrattsville Hornets 58-13. The Wolverines were probably out for revenge after losing 65-2 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jasmine Wormley was a one-woman wrecking crew for Surrattsville as she posted 25 points. Those 25 points gave Wormley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JaKhia Redd, who had 12 points.

Potomac's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Potomac will take on Oxon Hill in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Surrattsville will take on Douglass in a holiday battle at on Thursday.
