Volleyball Recap: Hurricane Tigers vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs

After flying high against Pine View last Tuesday, Hurricane came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 22-25, 25-16.

Hurricane's offense was headlined by Olivia Prete and Falyn Mecham, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Teuila Alualu and her 25 assists. Graci Fox controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Crimson Cliffs can attribute much of their success to Lily Jones, who had 14 digs and two assists. Jones has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Crimson Cliffs, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Hurricane nor Crimson Cliffs have any future games scheduled.
