Basketball Recap: Paxton's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Paxton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 57-45 to the Walton Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 54-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Paxton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Garrett Lowry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Lowry has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Stewart, who posted ten points.

Paxton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11. As for Walton, the win also got them back to even at 11-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paxton has already played their next contest (against Poplar Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Walton will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Destin at 7:00 p.m.
