Softball Recap: Mt. Carmel Takes a Loss

Mt. Carmel lost to San Marcos back in April of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sundevils fell just short of the Knights by a score of 8-7. The Sundevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Carmel got a massive performance out of Kaili Martha, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for San Marcos, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Carmel will be taking part in a tournament against Patrick Henry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for San Marcos, they will be playing at home against Oceanside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
