Basketball Recap: Aquinas Comes Up Short

Aquinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Christian Crusaders. The Monarchs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Lincoln Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Coming up, Aquinas will take on Archangels Catholic on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Christian, they will be playing at home against Beatrice at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
