Baseball Recap: Lake George Comes Up Short

Lake George had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 5-4 to make it four. They came up short against the Fort Ann Cardinals, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Lakers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Fort Ann, they now have a winning record of 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Lake George since May 28, 2021.

For Fort Ann's part, not much got past Josh Dornan, who gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Lake George off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sean Havens, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Hunter Wade also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
