Soccer Game Preview: Gainesville vs. West Port

The Gainesville Hurricanes will square off against the West Port Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Gainesville's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Oak Hall 4-0. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, West Port made sure to put some goals up on the board against Dunnellon on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 5-1 victory. It was an even better day for Ally Jones as she scored three goals for her team.

West Port has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. As for Gainesville, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
