Soccer Game Preview: Corrigan-Camden vs. New Summerfield

The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs will take on the New Summerfield Hornets in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

New Summerfield is hoping to do what Pollok Central couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Corrigan-Camden's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Corrigan-Camden's defense stepped up to hand Pollok Central a 5-0 shutout. Give Corrigan-Camden's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Summerfield). They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over San Augustine on Thursday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

New Summerfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Corrigan-Camden, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
