Softball Preview: Harrison Central Huskies vs. Brooke Bruins

The Harrison Central Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Brooke Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Harrison Central finally turned things around against Union Local on Monday. Harrison Central put the hurt on Union Local with a sharp 15-4 victory.

Emma Skinner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Skinner has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Skinner was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Isabel Yeager was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kara Blackburn, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
