With a playoff win on the line, Bethel rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Atoka Wampus Cats by a score of 68-55. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-49 back in January.

Bethel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Gascon led the charge by going 7-for-15 on her way to 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kinley Bowles, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Bethel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They are 7-2 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Bethel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. Atoka's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

Bethel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-47 loss against Kingston on the 7th. Atoka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
