Victoria West put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the St. John XXIII Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since August 31, 2024.

Victoria West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Victoria West's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for St. John XXIII, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victoria West will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
