Baseball Recap: Grandfield Wins Going Away Against Ryan

While Grandfield put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Ryan. Everything went the Grandfield Bearcats' way against the Ryan Cowboys as the Grandfield Bearcats made off with an 8-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bearcats have posted against the Cowboys since April 11, 2019.

Kasen Dennard made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Dennard was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Conner Souther was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-1. Cooper Henson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Grandfield and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coincidentally, Grandfield and Ryan will both be playing Frederick the next time they take the field. Grandfield will host Frederick at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ryan will host them at 4:30 p.m. on April 8th.
