Basketball Recap: Pelahatchie Comes Up Short

Pelahatchie lost against Pisgah back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pelahatchie Chiefs lost to the Pisgah Dragons at home by a 53-35 margin.

Pisgah was led to victory by Laylah Johnson and Desiree Morris. Johnson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Morris went 10 of 22 on her way to 22 points and seven boards. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 23 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madysen Washington, who posted seven points and five assists.

Pelahatchie's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Pisgah, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

Pelahatchie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pisgah, they have already played their next game, a 49-36 victory against Puckett on the 6th.
