Basketball Recap: Natalia Stout Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Pecos won the last time they faced Escalante and things went their way on Friday too. The Pecos Panthers strolled past the Escalante Lobos with points to spare, taking the game 45-29. The Panthers pushed the score to 36-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lobos cut but never quite recovered from.

Pecos got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalia Stout out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Stout is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Analiyah Armijo, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Pecos pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Escalante, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Pecos will challenge Tucumcari at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tucumcari will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pecos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Escalante, they will square off against Los Alamos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
