Basketball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Seneca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Central Yellow Jackets, falling 69-15. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 33rd).

Seneca lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Janell Julue, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and five steals. Julue is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Seneca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-26 win against Waggener on the 7th. As for Central, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Shawnee on the 7th.
