Recap: Hemingway Tigers vs. Scott's Branch Eagles
Sadly, the Hemingway Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season after 17 contests. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 37-11 walloping at the hands of Scott's Branch on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hemingway of the 56-23 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Scott's Branch found their leader in underclassman Zamaria Lowery, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lowery is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. Ziaier Bryant was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Hemingway's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Scott's Branch, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-11.
Hemingway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scott's Branch, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East Clarendon at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th.
