Softball Recap: Mulberry Panthers vs. Fort Meade Miners
Mulberry lost against Fort Meade back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mulberry lost 15-6 to Fort Meade. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 22, 2024.
Gracie Donalson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Jaylyn Oschmann, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Even though they lost, Mulberry hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post two or more strikeouts.
Mulberry's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7. As for Fort Meade, their record now sits at 11-6.

Mulberry is facing Winter Haven at the right time seeing as Winter Haven is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Fort Meade, they will face off against Hardee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
