Football Game Preview: Woodville Eagles vs. West Rusk Raiders + How To Watch

The Woodville Eagles will face off against the West Rusk Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Rusk took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodville, who comes in off a win.

While Woodville's victory against Kountze wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 27-24. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Luke Babin produced another solid effort throwing for 200 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. A healthy portion of Babin's aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Kenneth Rigsby, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, West Rusk came up short against Arp on Friday and fell 33-21.

Woodville will need to focus on slowing down Kemontrea McGregor, one of several West Rusk players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 115 receiving yards and one TD. McGregor was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 67 yards. Judson Dotson was another key passer, throwing for 223 yards and three touchdowns.

West Rusk didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Kameron Brown and Gunner Harp, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Woodville's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for West Rusk, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
