Oxbridge Academy scaled the state rankings by moving to 443 from 508 this week, the biggest jump in Gulf Atlantic - Atlantic. The ThunderWolves climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Archbishop Carroll 35-0.
Lipson Hillel Community was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Hurricanes beat Palmer Trinity 35-17 earlier in the week.
Austin Skelton was the best wideout in the league this week as Berean Christian topped Highlands Christian. Skelton tallied 7 receptions for 108 yards. Joseph Hendricks helped Berean Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 53 yards.
Blake Miller was the best running back in Gulf Atlantic - Atlantic this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 88 yards as the Falcons bested the Knights. Teammate Alberto Parra added to the ground attack by rushing for 45 yards.
Angelo Navaroli threw for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 15-20 with 1 interceptions.
Navaroli put up the best numbers in passing as Oxbridge Academy beat the Bulldogs. Navaroli's favorite target this week was Rashard Hammonds, who caught 3 passes for 40 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Berean Christian's Skelton goes up against Palmer Trinity's Blake Rubin.
Next week's game between Brad Carney's team and Darin DiBello's team will feature a good passing match up as Chris Mauck will test his arm against Rubin's defensive ability. For the year, the Bulldogs' Mauck has managed 717 yards and 7 touchdowns, while Rubin has 1 interceptions for the Falcons.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Berean Christian takes on Palmer Trinity. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in first, while the Falcons are in fourth.
Northwest Christian fell to Boca Raton Christian 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
