Basketball Game Preview: Waverly Wolverines vs. Sidney Team

The Waverly Wolverines will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Sidney Team at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. Waverly will be strutting in after a win while Sidney will be coming in after a loss.

Waverly saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against Athens by a score of 48-36. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 263rd in New York, while the Wildcats are ranked 600th in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sidney didn't have quite enough to beat Susquehanna Valley two weeks ago and fell 55-53.

Waverly now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sidney, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
