Althoff Catholic wins going away against Marquette Catholic

Recap: Althoff Catholic Crusaders vs. Marquette Catholic Explorers

The Althoff Catholic Crusaders had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 44-21 margin over Marquette Catholic. The win was just what Althoff Catholic needed coming off of a 48-19 defeat in their prior contest.

Leading Althoff Catholic to victory were Emilee Travnicek and Kamora Davis. Travnicek scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals, while Davis dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Travnicek has scored at least 25% of Althoff Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amalia Distler, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.

Althoff Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Marquette Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

Althoff Catholic will be playing at home against Maryville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Marquette Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Metro-East Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Metro-East Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Monday.
