Basketball Recap: Treyson Kirkwood's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fleming over Holyoke + How To Watch

Fleming was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 60-44 fall against the Holyoke Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 61-33 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Treyson Kirkwood, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Conner Marchant was another key player, going 6-for-10 en route to 14 points and eight boards.

It was another big night for Colby Weber, who shot 60% from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points for Holyoke. What's more, Weber also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Dathyn Dirks, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.

Fleming's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Holyoke, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Fleming didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-43 defeat against McClave on the 13th. As for Holyoke, they will be taking part in a tournament against Akron at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
