It was a good run, but Poteet unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Centennial Spartans by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered since January 7th.

Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Centennial, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Poteet will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Ennis at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will take on Episcopal at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
