Volleyball Recap: Pine Island's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pine Island came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals by a score of 3-1. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Lewiston-Altura saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaylee Hansen had ten assists and four digs.

Pine Island's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Lewiston-Altura, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Pine Island has already played their next match (against St. Croix Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lewiston-Altura, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Centennial on the 10th.
