 There's no place like home for East Allegheny, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Freeport Yellowjackets  on Tuesday and snuck past  2-1. This was a revenge  match for East Allegheny, as the team was forced to settle for  a  5-2 defeat when these two played  on Monday.
  Michael Cahill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). Cahill has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Cahill was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Cahill wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Joseph Connors, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 East Allegheny's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
 East Allegheny will head out on the road to  face off against  South Allegheny at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Freeport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
