Basketball Game Preview: Bush Blazers vs. Poinciana Eagles

The Bush Blazers will be taking part in a tournament against the Poinciana Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Bush came up short against Overlake and fell 58-45. The loss continues a trend for the Blazers in their matchups with the Owls: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Poinciana beat Bridge to Independence 63-50 on Saturday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Wildcats are ranked 421st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Poinciana's win came from a few key players Bush will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Savion Viser, who posted 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jahmel Hill, who had 17 points.

Bush's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Poinciana, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
