Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Comes Up Short

Unity Christian lost against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Unity Christian Lions were beaten by the Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans 68-34. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cara Phillips led the charge by putting up 16 points and three steals. Phillips is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Lainey Ehlers was another key player, posting nine points and three steals.

Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
