Baseball Recap: Humble Comes Up Short

Humble had taken King down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Humble saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivan Talavera, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Ryan LaCour also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Humble's loss dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for King, they moved to 5-15-1 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

While Humble had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
