Basketball Recap: Bethany Christian Takes a Loss

Bethany Christian was the 31-29 winner over Trinity Greenlawn when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bethany Christian Bruins fell 49-41 to the Trinity Greenlawn Titans on Friday. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Greenlawn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ian Abbott, who went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points and four steals. The matchup was Abbott's third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Skendzel, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Bethany Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-13. As for Trinity Greenlawn, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethany Christian will face off against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th. As for Trinity Greenlawn, they will challenge Oregon-Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
