Recap: College Achieve Knights vs. Middle Township Panthers
The College Achieve Knights posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Middle Township and snuck past 65-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamir McNeil, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Anthony Trombetta was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for College Achieve and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for Middle Township, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
College Achieve won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ramapo at 4:00 p.m. on January 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Ramapo is ranked 39th, while College Achieve is ranked 57th). As for Middle Township, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Atlantic City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Atlantic City will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
