Basketball Recap: Primero Comes Up Short

If Primero was riding high fresh off their 79-53 takedown of Moffat on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 45-38 to the Hanover Hornets on Saturday. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hanover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hector Lopez, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joseph Molina, who had 13 points.

Primero's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hanover, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Primero and Kim/Branson will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026. Hanover has already played their next game (against Monument Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
