It was a proper cat-fight when Early County duked it out with Calhoun County on Saturday. The Bobcats walked away with a 48-35 victory over the Cougars. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 48-39 loss the last time these two teams met.

Early County found their leader in freshman Kalee Graham, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Lakeyia Salter, who posted four points.

The win made it two in a row for Early County and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Calhoun County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Early County will take on Miller County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
