Soccer Recap: Edisto Comes Up Short

Edisto fought the good fight in their overtime match against Manning on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Edisto have lost by just one goal.

Edisto's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Manning, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-15.

Coming up, Edisto will take on North Charleston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edisto will be up against North Charleston's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.25 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Manning, they will challenge Lake City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manning are facing Lake City at the right time seeing as Lake City are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
