Volleyball Recap: Lynbrook Vikings vs. Santa Clara Bruins
Lynbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Santa Clara Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Miya Tang paced Lynbrook's offense, picking up 19 kills. Tang got some help from Jacey Tseng and her 21 assists. Tseng also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ivy Kuo, each putting up three.
Ninya Udinoor had an outrageously good game for Santa Clara as she had 16 digs and two aces. Udinoor is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Lynbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Santa Clara, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
