The Wyoming East Warriors will square off against the Nicholas County Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wyoming East comes in on four and Nicholas County on three.
If Wyoming East beats Nicholas County with six runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Warriors never let Liberty get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Thursday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Jaeden Lester, who gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Liberty off the board. Lester has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Wyoming East got a big performance out of Braxton Morgan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Morgan a new career-high. Jarrod Phillips was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Nicholas County posted their closest victory since April 2nd on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Woodrow Wilson 3-1.
Nicholas County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Wyoming East pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Nicholas County, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Both Wyoming East and Nicholas County just can't seem to miss. The Warriors have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Nicholas County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wyoming East might still be hurting after the 13-7 loss they got from Nicholas County in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
