Basketball Recap: White Oak Comes Up Short

White Oak lost against Overton back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The White Oak Roughnecks fell 39-26 to the Overton Mustangs.

White Oak has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Overton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. White Oak won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Waskom at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday. Overton and New Summerfield will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
