Soccer Recap: Buffalo Gap Takes a Loss

Buffalo Gap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Waynesboro Little Giants, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Buffalo Gap can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Waynesboro are ranked 88th).

Buffalo Gap's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Waynesboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Gap will venture away from home to square off against Fort Defiance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waynesboro, they will head out to take on James River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waynesboro will be up against James River's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.5 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
