Softball Recap: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Valley Center Jaguars

There's no place like home for Mt. Carmel, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Valley Center Jaguars by a score of 6-3 on Friday. The Sundevils haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Chloe Millard was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaili Martha, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Madie Codner was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
